In 2003, MasterWorks Machining, Inc. and Trusted Systems, Inc. joined forces to form Merritt Industries in order to design and manufacture their own Government approved Class 5 Security Container. These containers, also used as the base for the Trusted Systems, Inc. IPS Security Container, offer custom engineered interiors tailored for the Class 5 Security Container market.

Merritt Industries initially received GSA approval in 2005. Merritt Industries changed the market introducing a stronger, more secure container than its competitors. With containers engineered to withstand the most extreme environments, Merritt Industries always guarantees quality workmanship and security.

Trusted Systems
Trusted Systems, Inc. is the leading supplier of IPS containers. The company first introduced the IPS container to the market in 1991 and continues strong today with unmatched innovation and quality.

IPS Containers
In 1991,Trusted Systems, Inc. introduced the IPS Security Container. Based on the basic Class 5 Map and Plan Security Container, the IPS Security Container offers custom engineered cooling and racking for networking and computer equipment. These containers are used for a variety applications ranging from office environments to tactical military installations. The IPS container is deployed worldwide.

In 2002, MasterWorks joined forces with Trusted Systems to manufacture these IPS containers. This union allowed for greater control of schedule and overall quality. Shortly thereafter the two companies applied and received patents for a new safe door design.

Robot Welding Cell
MasterWorks has installed a new robot welding cell for improved productivity.

CCED Annual Report
Tom Armfield, president of MasterWorks, was pictured on the front of the 2007 Carroll County Economic Development annual report.

Building Addition
A 3,600 square foot addition was added in 2009 to make room for an improved electrical assembly "clean room" and QC department.

UL Certification
MasterWorks has completed the process for UL Certification. The company now offers UL Certified control boxes.

MasterWorks the topic of the cover story in the June of 2004 issue of Modern Machine Shop magazine.
