HELMAN-TENSIONERS-COMPANY

Helman Tensioners - Highly Accurate Tensioning Systems

In 2010 the president and founder of Helman Engineering, Marvin Helman, sold the electronic fiber tensioner business to pursue retirement. MasterWorks, already designing and manufacturing machinery for the winding industry, now operates the company as Helman Tensioners Inc. The acquisition was seen as a way for MasterWorks to offer more support and a broader product line for companies in the winding industry. The newly acquired company is dedicated to offering the same high quality and dependable product that was developed and manufactured by Helman Engineering.

What is a Tensioner?

It is a state-of-the-art bi-directional device used to maintain a constant amount of tension (or force) on a fiber, filament or wire while it is being unwound off of supply spools when the fiber is going into a process. Please visit the Helman Tensioners site for more information.
